Digital Art + Illustration
For as long as I remember I was always drawing and sketching. My love of fine art has evolved into the love of digital art and is the basis of any new technical skills I acquire and any new software I learn. For me, it always comes back to the pure joy of of creating art and telling a story.
Short Movie: Breaking Point
Collaborating with my team on every aspect of the creation of this animated film was my favourite part of this project. Working on the backgrounds, prop designs, and animating parts of the film helped me hone many of my technical skills. At the same time I enjoyed taking on a leadership role as the production manager keeping the team on track, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely delivery of the final creative.
Inspiration, Influence and Style
This series was inspired by one of my favourite visually stunning vintage cartoon:
Adventures of Mowgli. It was a Sovient-era version of the jungle Book and is a visual masterpiece.
I pride myself in being able to create in many different styles while bringing my own spark and flare to every project
Lighting and Texturing
There is a special place in my heart for playing with texture and light in both 2D and 3D. It never ceases to amaze me how subtle light changes can brings a scene to life, add character, create an atmosphere and tell a story. I like to achieve visually complex and detailed light effects that bring richness to a scene.
Environments and Backgrounds
I could create backgrounds and spaces all day (every day). This is where I really thrive as I develop environments that are rich, detailed and visually interesting. I obsess about the tiniest details because they often tell the best stories and add so much character.
